These terms set the rules for using sportspersia.com. They form an agreement between you and the operator of this site. If you keep reading the site, you accept them.
The Nature of This Site
SportsPersia is an editorial publication about sports. We report results, analyze performances, profile athletes and preview events. We are not a governing body, a ticket seller, an official statistics service, a streaming platform, a betting operator, or a representative of any club or federation, and nothing published here should be treated as an official communication from any of them.
What You May Do
Read, print and share our articles for personal, non-commercial purposes. Quote short passages in your own work provided you name SportsPersia and link to the page you took them from. Link to us freely; no permission is needed.
What You May Not Do
- Reproduce, syndicate, translate or mirror our articles in whole or in substantial part without written permission.
- Scrape, crawl or harvest the site with automated tools beyond ordinary search engine indexing consistent with our robots directives.
- Use our content, or anything derived from it, for text and data mining or to train, fine-tune or benchmark machine learning systems. We reserve those rights expressly, including the reservation permitted by Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790.
- Circumvent rate limits, access controls or advertising delivery, or attempt to disrupt, overload or probe the site.
- Strip credits, bylines or copyright notices.
- Present yourself as writing for, or speaking on behalf of, SportsPersia.
Ownership of Content
Our text, headlines, analysis, translations, original graphics and the arrangement of the site are protected by copyright and belong to the site’s operator or to contributors who licensed them to us.
Third-party marks — club crests, competition logos, federation names, sponsor brands — and athlete likenesses belong to their owners and appear here for reporting and commentary. Media published or embedded on this site is used under license, through an official embed, or under the exceptions that permit reporting of current events. Rights holders who believe material has been used outside those terms should write to [email protected], identifying the page and the asset.
Comments and Submissions
Where comments are open, what you write is your responsibility. Unlawful, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory or knowingly false material will be removed, as will other people’s private information, advertising and link placements. By submitting anything you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, display and moderate it in connection with the site; ownership stays with you. We may remove or decline any submission without giving reasons, and we do not pre-screen submissions.
Advertising on the Site
The advertising you see is delivered by third parties through automated auctions and is not selected or vetted by our editors. It appears beside our articles because it pays for them, not because we endorse it. Any dealing with an advertiser is between you and that advertiser. The data side of advertising is explained in the Privacy Policy.
No Guarantee of Accuracy
We correct errors as described in the Editorial Policy, but we make no warranty that any result, statistic, date, translation, transliteration, ranking or projection on this site is accurate, complete or current when you read it. Nothing here is medical, nutritional, financial, legal or betting advice; the Disclaimer forms part of these terms and explains those limits.
Translation and Transliteration
Much of what we report begins in Persian. Quotes, federation statements and club announcements are translated by us, and personal names are transliterated into the Latin alphabet according to a house standard, subject to the exception described in the Editorial Policy for athletes with an established international spelling. Translation and transliteration involve editorial judgment. Where the exact wording of an original matters to you, treat our version as a rendering and consult the source document. We correct translation and spelling errors on request and apply the correction across the archive.
Access From Your Own Country
The site is published for a worldwide readership and is not aimed at any one territory. You are responsible for compliance with the law that applies where you access it, including any local restriction on the material published here. We make no representation that the content is lawful or appropriate for use in every jurisdiction.
Other Sites We Link To
Links and embeds take you to services we do not run. Their content, their availability and their handling of your data are their responsibility, not ours.
Availability and Changes to the Site
The site is offered as is and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may alter, reorganize, restrict or withdraw any part of it, including archived material, without notice.
Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we accept no liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost profits, data, opportunities or goodwill, arising out of your use of this site or reliance on its content.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights in your country of residence are unaffected.
Indemnity
If your breach of these terms, or material you submitted, causes a claim against the site’s operator, you agree to cover the resulting losses and reasonable legal costs.
Revisions
These terms change from time to time. The date above identifies the current version, and continued use after a revision is acceptance of it. Substantive changes are flagged on this page.
Applicable Law
These terms are governed by the law applicable where the site’s operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without depriving consumers in the EEA or the United Kingdom of the protection of mandatory local law. If a clause is held unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply, and a failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
